Happy Inter,.. Oh wait I said that already.

On Saturday 16 June 2018 Joelle Sleebos , sponsored by Adidas hosted the International Yoga Day at the Cape Town Convention Center (CTICC). This event was aimed at connecting various yoga communities in and around Cape Town as well using it as a platform to raise funds for Earth Child Project.

Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly, familiar faces such as Tracey Lavida (find her on insta, her dedication to fitness is unrelenting) and Chloe Guilhermino ( I attended one of her sessions at Rocking the Daisies last year. Trust me she knows what shes doing!) and given a gift bag which the first 250 entrants received at each session. The goodie bag consisted of various flyers and freebies. Honestly who doesn't like freebies. The bag consisted of raw honey chocolate by Native, love bites by EarthShine, and Kale Chips by Herbivore. As well as three magazines namely; Women's Health, Wellness Warehouse and Holistica.

Various stalls set up in the venue, including but not limited to Nourish'd, Uber flavour (Rooibos craft ice tea... sooooo good, Berry flavour omw), Utopia and Taka health.

The entire event was hosted professionally and on time.

The first session, a mega yoga session hosted by Joelle, followed by Vinyasa by Jim Harrinton and Toni Westaway for Reunion which I unfortunately missed. I did however attend the final session of Meditation by Art of Living.

For the Meditation, the lights were lowered and all sounds were reduced. I had never felt so Zen before. I could literally feel the vibrations on my skin when someone coughed in the venue.
