Passion

About a year ago I realized what my passion is. Well, actually a couple years back a friend pointed it out and I guess that all it takes sometimes.
I know a lot of people that are doing work, work they hate but work that pays the bills and fills their bellies. Is that honestly what life is about? I don't. I believe we are alive to actually be alive, to enjoy what we do everyday, to work with our strengths. Some are good at maths, some with language and some with art.
I always loved art. When I was younger my dad would take me to the toy shop and each time I would go straight to the paints. I loved the control of holding a paintbrush and letting the colours speak to me. As I got older I wasn't exposed to many artists and couldn't view it as a career path. I forced myself to find a "good" job to work towards. I chose subjects that would aid me to become a certified Medical Doctor. I applied and was rejected. I am so happy it didn't work out. It was a step closer to me realizing what I was meant to do. I am meant to be in the arts, specifically Photography:)
